What did you do with Alltel to correct the issue?

Approximately purchased in Summer 2004???

Is there a charge to move from v4 to v5?? If we already have licensing???

Upgrading is an option and will be doing so very soon...within the next 2 weeks....They system and DB are all on one server. We have a dedicated server just for PageGate. Although normal functions seem to work OK..we use the GetWeb piece primarily with a webpage throughout the organization for paging. A few other systems email into pagers to allow paging.

I frequently am running into an issue with our GetMail piece of PageGate....about every day or two the Getmail piece receives emails being sent in but does not process them over to be sent out?? If I restart getmail/pgmailserver all is well and it catches up and sends out ...I am running version 4.0.0.96 as a service on a Win2003 Std server..i've been through changing how/who runs all services and DEP settings are set to allow. I also see alot of these messages in logs >> Warning. Unable to access database: Procedure: check_license. Retrying..

I seemed to be having the same issue...I installed Page Gate as the local admin on a new Win2003 machine..and just now noticing the same things....all my getweb pages seemed to not be going through,,this morning i was having some complaints about people not getting pages so in my looking around in the server i manually restarted getweb and they all went through...i seemd to have a similar situation with getmail last week...but in rebooting the server fixed it so we'll see. I am trying the above and setting all pg services to Local Admin account logon privileges..

I've edited the guilist.htm file in the Templates folder?? I have near 100 or so recipients?? Do I have to remove each from their group and re-add them??

Thanks....I have it working perfectly ...I also noticed the instructions link from another post for Win2003 IIS6 and Getweb...Thanks ..
! more question...is there an easy way or is it needed ?? Once I move over all the recip folders from the old server, in each there are 2 htm fils?? Do i have to change that weggate.exe path in each of those 2 files for each recip?? Or is there a better way or is it needed?

I have almost the exact setup here ...message me if you have any questions. I have an existing Page Gate server setup that dials into our Zetron with a modem initiating TAP and sends the pages out...but I just setup a new server with the serial direct connection and its so much better. Its takes about 10 seconds to get the pages vs. about a minute.

Thanks for the help...I have is successfully working now. Had some cable issues, once resolved serial connection works great. Now to migrate everything to the new server.

I get no response using that app or HyperTerminal. I'm going to check that serial cable connection and make sure its still entact or hasn't been damaged. I'll let you know if i need more help/

I am using/testing new pagegate on a new Win2003 server...trying to set up direct connect serial link ,, I know the direct connection works b/c it was setup to page to the same terminal from a linux server, not sure the settings from that server though? I currently dial our terminal on production page gate server and it uses TAP fine. I am having trouble setting up the direct connect on the new test server. here is some of the dialer1 log.

Any ideas.

Can you specify how to set up page gate for direct connect? I currently use PageGate and a modem to dial our paging system...would like to try direct connect via serial to enhance paging speeds and reliablity
