That's a little odd, it definitely sounds like an issue with either what NP32 is expecting to 'hear' next from the carrier or the actual command the carrier is passing at that point.

If you go into NP32, then go to Tools - Settings - Modem, how many retries do you have it set to?
Thank you for your reply.

Retries was set to 1

Setting 'Retries' to 0, the message is still sent/received correctly and is cleared from 'Pending Messages' but ends up in 'Bad Messages'.
(And of course there is is no retry.)

This is the dialer log entry:

Hello,

I am using NotePager 32 to try to send SMS's using Telstra's mobile service (Mobilenet).

The message is sent correctly but once it has been sent there is no response to enable the process to complete.

The message remains in the 'Pending Messages' list and is re-sent unless manually cancelled from the list.

I'm using the following settings:

Phone no: 125107, password: mnmail
2400 Baud, 7/e/1
Init string: AT&FQ0V1X4&D2+MS=V22,0

Here is the log generated by one of my attempts:
1/07/2006 15:32:12 ====================================

1/07/2006 15:32:12 Connect using TAP protocol

1/07/2006 15:33:11 Attempting to hang up modem
1/07/2006 15:33:19 modem hung up

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as it apart from this one small glitch it's terrific application.

Best regards
Bertram
