I'd like to know that as well.. If we can take out the : or use something else like a ~ which is less likely to be part of a message?

what is the upgrade path from 4.x to 5.0 in terms of pricing?

I have v 4.0 for less than a year and have bought additional dialers and modules.

If I select only the $100 upgrade and provide my serial number will I get the proper key with all my modules still activated?

I have two dialers, one is dedicated e-mail the other is the modem dialer

some type of hang occurred on the pagegate instance, it wouldn't send pages or e-mails nor would it shutdown.. I had to kill the process and restart it but now dialer 1 comes up but does not receive any scheduled page requests from the scheduler

what do I do/

Pagegate 4.0

if it takes the first 80 characters and uses it as the subject then I'm not getting that behaviour.

Finding that if subject is not placed if the ":" delimiter is past the subject text field limit of 80 characters.

I would rather the function for pagegate is to simply display 80 characters and the rest in the description.

Is this by design?

If I do that doesn't it suppress the from address from the from field too then?

How can I set pagegate so it does not send the from address in the subject line?

unfortunately no. I'm passing some string variables to the sendpage32. Unfortunately the one variable is very long

It's one big string.

I introduce a colon after this variable but the string contents is over 80 characters..

Noticing some pages are not showing anything on the subject line except for the from address.

This occurs on messages where the first colon is likely over the 80 character mark.

Unfortunately I cannot par that down easily. I don't mind the subject to be truncated after 80 characters and was expecting that however only the from address shows.. is this by design or should I be looking at some esc characters that may be doing this. there are no :'s int he subject matter itself.

I can page out successfully on bell mobility to the 1800 number..

it's when I use the 416 number it bounces back for cell phone sms numbers. I think the 416 number only refers to bell pagers

watch the dialer log.. if it accepts the pin then it should go out.

Will there be a linux version of pagegate anytime? or perhaps a linux port of sendpage so we don't have to create a samba link to the pagegate server?
You could "ftp" the file
By ftping, is there a possibility that pagegate will send a partial message? I'm not 100% sure but I don't think an ftp actually creates an exclusive file lock. I get this issue on file triggers sometimes.
