WCTP has to be enabled on a pager by pager basis by Arch, it's not automatic. Try calling their customer service department and have them verify that it is enabled for that pager.

Tracfone uses local existing local carriers and resells their service. When I had a Tracfone, my service was through Verizon. If you someone who has the same first 3 digits of their phone number that is the same as your phone number, ask them who there carrier is and follow the directions for that carrier.

I believe snpp is only for pagers. For phones, you have to use either TAP or smtp.

It's a 10 digit pin. If you use pins, you'll have to call Verizon and give them the 7 digit pins and they can tell you what the 1st 3 digits should be. If you use phone numbers, you use the area code and phone number. We use 117, 118, and 159 pin numbers. They reside in the Hartford Connecticut terminal and an 860 "area code" before the pin number.

Your message says you are trying to send through snpp.myairmail.com which is for Airtouch/Verizon pagers. The dialup program that you use looks like it is for PageNet pagers. The WCTP log references Arch Communications... What company are your pagers from ? That could be the problem.

I believe Verizon has done away with the Airtouch name. I think the new address for snpp is snpp.myairmail.com.

From what I was told, snpp.airtouch.com is gone. You now have to use snpp.myairmail.com.

Verizon has a variety of phone numbers, depending on what format your pager PIN is.

We found that since snpp uses a 10 digit pin, we could no longer use our local access number since it takes a 7 digit pin. When we tried to use the 800 number, the pages appeared to go through, but the user never received the pages.

After calling Verizon numerous times, we were finally given a TAP access number in Texas that works. Even though we now have to pay long distance charges when we dial it, it's only dialed if we lose internet access or snpp is down, so the costs are minimal.

Send me an email if you want the access number we use.
