| That's a good thought. Makes sense. I went into the device manager and checked the power management of the USB Root Hub that the modem is attached to and unchecked the box that states Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. I will see if this helps. The modem itself does not appear to have any power management settings that I could find. | |

| On occassion, NPP stops talking to our USRobotics USB 56K Faxmodem (model 5633B) after attempting to reset the modem three times. Then the message is marked as bad. Any carrier that we have setup with TAP will fail until we manually query the modem from the properties in the control panel. Once the query goes through, if we send a test page, it is successful. Over the past two weeks, it has become more frequent. I don't know if it is the modem or application. Has anyone else seen this issue? | |

| Quick question, T-Mobile is asking if the application that we use (NotePager Pro) is TAP 1.8 compliant. I couldn't find this information on your website or on the forum. Could you answer this for me? | |

| We shouldn't be receiving any incoming communications; however, they are tied in to our phone system. We are going to change the ports/extensions in our phone system to not answer just to be on the safe side. | |

After getting back in to NotePagerPro, and requeued the last page, it went successfully, but check out the log: 8/9/2007 9:57:58 AM ... |

| Today was actually a good day. I don't know how many messages went via TAP and SMTP, but we only had one instance in the log file that stated it was unable to access the modem.
As far as the test, I will have to do that tomorrow. |

| NotePagerPro is installed on a single system that has a modem connected to it. The application that executes NPP through the command line is installed on the same system. It starts the executable, accesses the group containing a list of recipients, and sends the message. If the third party application sends multiple alerts that kicks off NPP.EXE in the command line multiple times, would that be considered a shared program? | |

| As far as NPP not able to access the modem when it is the only application using it, and with the failed attempts for some of the SMS notifications, would PageGate resolve the issues we are seeing?
I would be happy to explain to someone how we use NPP with another application and find out if PG is a better fit. Please respond. |

| I setup SMS pages via SMTP to my phone with is Sprint. I received them just fine. Verizon works as well so this does appear to be a T-Mobile issue (not sure why). | |

Fatal database error: 3167 Record is deleted. in Procedure: log_form activate Program Halted When you click ok, it exits out of NPP. I will then go back in to NPP and select View --> Message History and it will open. Why am I receiving this error and how can I prevent it? |

| When viewing the log or watching the connection monitor, we see frequently a warning Unable to access modem and it retries. Sometimes it fails and sometimes it does not. The only application using the modem is NPP. Here is part of the log file as an example:

| Also, in regards to SMTP for non-T-Mobile recipients, sporadically we are receiving duplicate messages come through. If we send a test message whether in a group of mixed TAP and SMTP recipients, or as a single recipient, frequently today the SMTP messages are going through two sometimes three times. We have tested this with Sprint PCS, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Has anyone seen this happen before? | |
