You also mentioned "much larger cost" - how many recipients do you have in your NPP database?

uuummm I AM the IT staff, we do not have a need for simultaneous use, we never have a need to use it from more than one PC at a time.

plus we do not have a actual server set up we have a NAS that we share files across......for our use we would be looking at a price tag of around 350.00..............again page gate cost more because it has a ton of feature we would never use........ a program using a comon database is NOT an issue because we have 3 programs that do that now......so there is your answer from MY IT staff LOL

Well, there really isn't a way to have NotePager Pro do that since NotePager Pro is a single computer program. Our other program, as OzCom mentioned, is a server/client system that can do exactly what you want.

yes it will do it and at a MUCH larger cost and with a ton of other features we do not need.

Obviously the program knows where to look for the database. So a change in that would probably do what we need simply telling the program to look for the database some where else.

probably actually very simple but I can understand tech support not telling me as they would rather make more money

Hi, we have Notepage pro on 3 computers using a license on each one, we have a file server with mapped drives, currently when I make a change I copy the database to the file server then copy it to the other 2 computers.

is there anyway to store the database in the file server so each pc would look for it there, that way one update would apdate all?

by the way in the event it helps some one I am running this on a new release of windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I got a free copy from microsoft before it is released to the general pubic and it works fine

I had to reformat my pc, I saved the NPP database and relaoded it all when done but I am getting this error

we bought 3 copies of note pager pro, 1 copy needs to be moved to a new PC I bought, I know hw to transfer the database but how do I transfer the license to the new install?

I ran into this exact same problem today, all messages would fail, could not figure it out, SO.....

I ran the connection wizard just to make sure all the settings were still the same as normal. And they were, after that it worked and sent fine I made NO changes in the setup wizard at all.

is this some sort of issue with notepage pro?

one of our guys has a blackberry and he does not have text message service on it because he has e-mail, can the SMS messages be sent to email to him?

if so how do I do the settings?

uuummmm there may be changes, the interesting thing is I juust looked....all the verizon messages went fine,,,,,it was the ALTEL ones that all failed

it is a private company but basically they resell verizon DSL, I just sent out a bit ago to 38 people....and 8 of them failed, is there a fix for the verizon dsl thing or is it just a crap shoot?.....

.also...I know this is going to come up, I have some guys who are altel and now verizon wireless is buying them, will the altel settings stay the same ot too early to tell?

it did it first thing this morning, so I waited a while then it worked ok, now it is doing this again,

I had the same problemwith verizon, to fix it I set the carrier at 160 Char. and the recipient at 240 Char. the had to use e-mail for relay then it sent both parts.

If you use a e-mail client I looked in my outgoing server and set it as that for the rellay.

OK, I figured some out, I am now using the outgoing mail server, it is sending the full message, but it sends the second part of the message first, any way to fix that? just kind of confusing to get second part first

also on my Verizon phone when I get the message is says from: #BAL
