There shouldn't be any issues or special setup required for Sophos, though if it tries to flag any of the following executables, those are directly related to and used by PageGate:
pagegate.exe
pgsched.exe
pggmail.exe
pgmailserver.exe
pggascii.exe
pggweb.exe
pggtap.exe
pggserial.exe
pgdial1.exe through pgdial16.exe

Which version of PageGate are you using?

To check, browse in to the PageGate program directory and go in to the properties of 'pagegate.exe', then check the Details tab and it should display the file version.

Also, please email a copy of your PageGate server's logs (c:\PageGateData\Logs\) to support at notepage dot com

Which version of PageGate are you using?

To check, browse in to the PageGate program directory and go in to the properties of 'pagegate.exe', then check the Details tab and it should display the file version.

PageGate's on-call scheduling can only be used to setup days/times that a person is 'on-call' on a weekly basis.

If there are common schedules that rotate, then one option is to setup a schedule and then export it. You can then import that schedule back in when that particular schedule is needed again.

For the SNPP protocol, you enter the username and the password separated by a single space in to the 'Password' field.

Where can I find COM port of my cellular modem?

You can typically find it in the 'Phone and Modem' section of the Control Panel in Windows. If it isn't listed there, it should be in the 'Device Manager' in Windows under the 'Ports' section. If your device isn't listed, you may need to install (or reinstall) the device's driver.

To get the credentials, you have to login to the Business Notification Center, current link: https://bnc-businessmessaging.att.com/#login

Once logged in, on the left side, go to admin, then organization settings.

About half way down the page is "SNPP Credentials".

Click "Generate Credentials".

The first thing you'll want to check is the protocol negotiation logs. If you open PG Admin and go to Program - Global Log, it will show you a record of which connectors handled what messages.

Once you find reference to the missing messages, you should see lines like this:
PGDial1 SUCCESSFUL
PGDial1 FAILED
and so on

That lets you know which connector log has the protocol negotiation and that's your next step.

In PG Admin, go to Connectors - The Connector that handled the message - Log

Use the clipboard button and paste it in to a text editor for easier reference, then search for the missing messages. You should see the protocol negotiation with the EMAG host.

If you need assistance going through the logs, please email a copy of the log files located in c:\PageGateData\Logs\ to support at notepage dot com

I'm not sure what else to try.

You might consider looking into more purpose-build hardware like a cellular modem or gateway. Something like the MultiTech MultiConnect Cell/rCell 100 series.

As OzCom mentioned, based onw hat we can see int he connector log, it looks like the MS fax server is unavailable.

Just to double check, if you check the MS Fax server itself, is the IP the same as what PageGate is referencing?
