Let's double check a few things!

If you would, open regedit in Windows and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - Software - Wow6432Node - NotePage - Transfer.

What is your 'SendCommand' value currently set to?

If you would, go to the Program - Settings section of PG Admin and make a note of the log directory.

In that directory, you should see a series of text files, please email those to support at notepage dot com so we can cross-reference a few things. Thanks!

Hm... if you see them in the bad folder but the primary log doesn't reference anything, that usually means the message isn't making it past the input interface.

To double check a few things, if you go to the 'Registration' section of PG Admin, what do you have checked in the upper right hand corner?

GetAscii is one of the input services and isn't required for messages to be delivered, the Connector services control that. In context, it sounds like the messages are making it to the queue and showing delivered.

That being the case, please email a copy of your PageGate server's logs to support at notepage dot com

If possible, please also provide a few examples (recipient, date and time, message contents) of missed messages.

To find the location of the logs, open PG Admin and go to Program - Settings. If you look in the logs folder, there should be a collection of text files that are the current day's logs and, if you have log archiving enabled, may contain a list of directories that are named after the date of the log archive they contain.

If you would, please email us a collection of logs from the PageGate server that contain some of the missing messages.

To find the logs, open PG Admin and go to the Program - Settings section and it should display their location on the right hand side.

In the logs directory, there should be a collection of text files that are the logs; please send those to support at notepage dot com

If possible, please also include specific examples of missed messages as that makes cross-referencing the logs much easier. Thanks!

Unfortunately, T-Mobile has been a bit of a black box and getting information from them on how to gain access to their enterprise platform has been next to impossible for a while. While they do technically have an SNPP gateway and even business messaging services that can be used, we haven't had a client successfully complete a registration process with them in years.

You could try to reach out to a local T-Mobile representative and let them know your PSAP needs access to the T-Mobile enterprise messaging gateway; perhaps you'll find success where others haven't in modern memory.

As far as we're aware of, that is correct.

The information is entirely transferrable and here are the steps you'll want to run through:

1) On the old PageGate server, make a backup copy of the PageGate database (file name: pagegate.mdb). To determine where the file is located, open the PageGate Admin and go to Program - Settings.

2) On the new server, install PageGate version 10.
Specific steps to install can be found here:
https://www.notepage.net/manuals/pg/v10/server/html/installation_by_single_executa_2.htm
https://www.notepage.net/videos/pagegate-v10-installation.htm

3) After installing PageGate version 10, right click on the shortcut for the PageGate Admin and left click 'Run as Administrator'

4) When prompted for the default setup information, click Apply.

5) When it prompts you to create a few directories, please do so.

6) You should then receive a notification that a new database has been created. Click OK.

7) Copy the old server's database in to the PageGate version 10 server's database directory.

8) When prompted, you do want to overwrite the existing file.

9) Right click on the shortcut for the PageGate Admin and left click 'Run as Administrator'

10) When prompted, you do want to upgrade the database.

11) After the upgrade is finished, you'll be prompted for your version 10 registration key. Enter it and click Apply.

12) Click OK, then Close, then OK again.

13) Right click on the shortcut for the PageGate Admin and left click 'Run as Administrator'

14) Go to Program - Settings.

15) In the 'Run PageGate as' section, select: Windows Service

16) Click Apply.

17) When prompted for credentials, leave them blank and click Apply again.

18) When 'Switching Run Styles' goes away, open the Windows Services list.

19) Find and start the PageGate service, if it hasn't already started.

If you need anything else, please let us know!

Hm... that's a bit odd, let's verify a few settings.

If you would, send an email to support at notepage dot com and include a screenshot of the following sections of your PG Admin:
Program - Template
Interfaces - GetAscii - Template
Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings
Interfaces - GetAscii - Advanced Polling - Files
Interfaces - GetAscii - Advanced Polling - Record
Interfaces - GetAscii - Advanced Polling - Recipient
Interfaces - GetAscii - Advanced Polling - Sender

Ah, it looks like you need to add the following to your carrier template 'Settings' section:
TcpProtocol = Telnet

To double check, go to Carriers - Verizon - Template. What do you currently have the 'Settings' section?

Based on what we can see in the log, it looks like the device's Telnet options haven't been configured; PageGate isn't receiving a response when it knocks on the proverbial door.

To double check, can you open the device's web UI if you go to to 172.29.221.118 in a web browser?

If so, try to browse to 172.29.221.118/cellular/telnetRadioAccess

Is it currently enabled?

You should be able to do that with either the PageGate Client or PageGate Admin.

In both, you'll want to go to the Reports section and run a report of sent messages by date. Then set the detail level to what you want, set your time range and you can either print the report out to a text file or print it to the screen so you could output it as a PDF, XPS or even send it to a real printer.

To start, you'll need to create a new create a new folder named 'Filters' as a sub-directory of your PageGate Database folder. To determine that location, open PG Admin and browse to Program - Settings; it should display on the right.

For example, if you're using the default path, your database folder would be c:\PageGateData\Database\, so we would need to create c:\PageGateData\Database\Filters\

There are four possible files you could create in this folder:
AllowedIps
BlockedIps
AllowedSenders
BlockedSenders

Also, after creating the files, double check to make sure whatever text editor you used didn't place an extension on the file. These files should have no trailing .txt, .log, etc on the end.

In the BlockeIps and BlockedSenders, you'll put * to indicate that ALL IPs or senders should be blocked. You could also list the domains or email addresses you want to block individually (placing each entry on its own line).

In the AllowedIps and AllowedSenders, you'll put just the IP address, email address or domains you want PageGate to accept traffic from (placing each entry on its own line).

In context, it sounds like you'll want to put * in the BlockedSenders file, then include a list of explicit email addresses or domains that are allowed to pass traffic in the AllowedSenders file, thereby creating exceptions to the universal blocklist.

Changes made to these lists are not read in real time, you will need to cycle the PageGate service for changes to take effect.

If you need anything else, please let us know!

You'll need to change the extension of the files to .msg and then place them in the c:\PageGateData\Database\MailIn\ folder.
