Cyberdog, just saw your post. I use some SMTP for Verizon with PageGate\NotePage. With SMTP you use the 10digitphoneno@vtext.com There are lists at www.notepager.net to give addresses for various carriers for SMTP, SNPP and WCTP according to what is available from a specific carrier. Hope this helps.

Check at https://enterprisemessaging.vzw.com/ We are public safety and use this as a security measure. I thought I could only get SMTP as well until they offered to set us up in EMAG. I couldn't get WCTP to work but I am working with SNPP now.

The 777 starts after implementing the Verizon Enterprise Gateway. You can go back to the SMTP and it will revert to the cell number.

That is what I thought but I wanted to be sure. But I am having a wide span (from 1 min to 10 min) from the request to the sent within one group for multiple carriers. Can the sent time be affected by anything other than the time it leaves the server?

I am having complaints that messages are being delayed in being sent. I ran a Sent Message Report and see a Requested date and time and a Sent date and time. Is the Sent the time that it went from my server or the time it went from the carrier's server?

It works with the address change and the user doesn't mind the format change so I guess I will just add that to my list of things to check when someone is not getting their texts! Thanks for the help.

I just had to change a Verizon phone from vtext.com to vzwpix.com. I'm not seeing any documentation of this address being added to send SMTP. Any ideas?

I set up an Email carrier with SMTP protocal on port 25 and 240 max characters. I then set up the Recipient with the carrier and email address. I see where it leaves PageGate with a Successful tag but it is not received by the user. I am able to send email to them from my desktop Outlook. Any ideas what my problem could be?

I started to fill out the form for Sprint and it is asking several questions that I am not sure how to answer. First it wants a volume forecast. I counted the number of transactions on a page and multiplied that by the
number of pages and got a one month total but is there a count anywhere except for on the PageGate Monitor? They also want a peak message throughput.

I see where a Password can be added under Advanced in the Carrier information under failover but I don't see where an IP address can be entered.
