I found a Multitech 1432BA external modem on the shelf and replaced the USRobotics this morning. I set the carrier to 2400,e,7,1,auto and it sent a TAP page successfully. I then tested my existing profiles after setting the connection string to auto and they all still work. Looks like my problem is resolved now. I distinctly remember switching to the USRobotics because a Multitech that I was using didn't work though it was a different model of Multitech. Very strange.

This won't work as my two successful carriers are set to 2400,n,8,1 with no init string set.

1) It is a US Robotics Sports 28,800 FaxModem. I am successfully sending pages via TAP to Nextel and AT&T subscribers with the modem.

2) I tried setting it to 300,e,7,1,auto with the following results:

I currently have PageGate working with Nextel and AT&T. I tried adding Verizon as a new carrier today. I have tried all of the listed numbers to no avail. I am using 8,n,1 as my settings and I have tried baud rates all the way down to 2400. Below is what I get. Any ideas? As I said before, it is all working perfectly with Nextel and AT&T.
