Ok, thanks for your help. Two (I hope final!) queries:

1) In order to use Notepage to receive text messages and convert to (for eg) email, I presume we use the GetTap module?

2) If we were thnking of using a GSM device (eg http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=UBIN-GC201 ) in order to enable us to send from a number of "our" choosing, is there any brand/model that Notepage reccommend in terms of compatability?

Thanks once more,

Thanks, thought that would be the case, best to check etc.

As for the option to remove the digit placed before the messages, I'm not quite sure what you're referring to. Would you explain a little further?[/quote]

For example, I sent 3 test messages to my own phone from outlook, via our server. body of each SMS was as follows:
1:Manning.I@cambridgeassessment.org.uk:subject bodytext
2:Manning.I@cambridgeassessment.org.uk:subject bodytext
3:Manning.I@cambridgeassessment.org.uk:subject bodytext

I want to remove the "1""2""3", and preferably the colons.

Hi,

I have a query about changing the format of SMS messages sent from Pagegate 4.0.

We are using TAP to dial to our carrier, Vodaphone UK (07785499993) to send SMS messages to mobile phones, from Outlook 2002/2003 integration.

I would like to know:
1) Is there a way of changing what appears in the "From" field of the SMS message, or do I need to contact the carrier? (currently it is 2533420004800)
2) I can't find the option to remove the digit placed before messages, although the manual for the client programme refers to this, can you help please?

Many thanks in advance.

Ian Manning
