| So does this mean it has to hang onto the port? The programme that I need to run after Notepager is also on a schedule and this doesn't hang on to the port. Thank you for your help. | |

| NPPDial is not there after I close Notepager & my other programme works. However, I am running a schedule in Notepager so don't I need to keep the programme open for the schedule to run please? Many thanks. | |

| Thank you. I've now changed modems to an external US Robotics 56k faxmodem and installed the software supplied with it. But I'm still getting the error message "Com port couldn't be opened' from the programme that needs to run after Notepager. Thank you for your help. | |

| Hi there, I'm just trialling the 30day version of NotepagerPro. I'm sending a numeric message to a pager using 'tone' as the carrier. Message is sent & received OK, but Notepager does not dsiconnect from the Com port to allow it to be available to another software programme that needs to run after this. It also seems to lock the Com port as when I go into Control panel & modems & query the modem, it says it cannot find it. I then have to reset it. Thanks for your help. | |
