| This is an update on the archive problem. Once I made the changes noted in my last post the archives have saved without error.
Thanks again, Fred T. |

| Great! That is exactly what I needed. No way I would enter anything into the database manually :-) | |

| I exported messages from PGAdmin trying to debug a report of critical pages not sent. After pulling into a spreadsheet and locating the date, I'm trying to figure out descriptions for each column.
After the Sending email address are two columns with values #TRUE# OR #FALSE# in each. The next column contains Recipient/Message ID related stuff followed by another column containing #TRUE# OR #FALSE# values. If I can find out the meaning of each of these three columns I can probably determine what happened to the pages. Thanks, Fred T. |

| When originally installed the decision was made to archive to the main program directory. I will create a new sub-directory for the Archive logs then update PGAdmin with the location and test. I will cycle through stop and start of the PG system / services.
Thanks, Fred T. |

| The Archive check box is set but the directories are not created. This has been working for years then all stopped on the 9th of January `08.
Any ideas what would cause this problem or how to resolve it? Thanks! |

| While debugging a different issue, I noticed that you referred several people to examine / capture messages in the Mailin folder. I figured out our problem was from a totally different source, messages sent in HTML rather than plain text.
While looking at the Mail folder though, I noted approximately 400+ files with the naming structure: recipientname$12345678901234567.pro or ftesterman$73244044304224733.pro. The majority of these have older dates; 2006 for example. What are these files? Do they need to be purged at some interval? |

| Thanks...
Sorry for waiting so long to reply. Followed your recommendations and the box has been ready for implementation. Vacations and several go-lives resulted in the box still located in my office. I will copy the databases & verify them once again before replacement. |

| I have a situation where someone else installed PageGate 4.0 on the new XP machine then copied / pasted the files (entire directories, or so I'm told) from the old PC to this one. After about 5 days of problems, where Pagegate quit accepting messages 3 - 4 times a day, I pulled the "new" pc and put the old one back in place. No problem except this pc has to be turned in (lease) soon.
PageGates settings all match on the old and new pc. If I back-up the databases, etc. then re-install over the top of everything [New PC] will PageGate retain the settings and database? |
