That's correct. Verizon is my ISP. They are the ones that said that authentication is required to get the message through the outgoing mail server.

I have been having trouble with my software sending messages through verizon.net's outgoing mail server. The tech support person told me that in order for a message to reach their server, it must also include the account username and password, otherwise, it will be considered spam and not reach verizon wireless. Is there any way to resolve this problem?
