| Not to be nitpicky but some of that is hard to understand. It needs to be proofread...
"Select either Type of Alert or Node from the drop down to change the Default message text is provided for the Trigger and Reset messages within the corresponding "Trigger Message" and "Reset Message" tabs."--huh?? "You may change this text if you wish, but it's important that you understand that you understand the use of Macros beforehand. "---huh?? Anyways, It looks like SolarWinds uses macros to tell you the name of the server that wnet down. I assume notepager cannot use the same macros to tell you the name of the server that went down in an SMS page? |

| Is there a way in Notepager Pro, for the program to send you the same info that Orion Network monitor does?
Example: I have an Alert set up in Orion to email me when a server gets rebooted. The email says "ServerName is UP". I configured the Alert to also page me using NotePager Pro. Now, when a server gets Rebooted I get the email message from Orion saying that "ServerName is UP" but no SMS page. The only way to get an SMS message is to enter text into "Trigger Message" in the Alert Config. In other words, the Orion Alert know what server reboots and will send you an email telling you what server rebooted...but will only page you with whatever text you entered in "Trigger Message" I assume I have to create an alert for each of our 200 servers? |
