Integration with BMC Performance Manager
PageGate integrates with BMC Performance Manager using the GetAscii command line integration.
Configure the GetAscii Module
- Create:
c:\PageGateData\BMC\ - Open PG Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetAscii — Settings. Set Polling Directory. Check Enabled. Click Apply. Enable for all.
- Go to Program — Settings. Check GetAscii. Click Apply.
Create a BMC Alert Rule
In BMC Performance Manager, define clients/systems to monitor, then create a rule referencing sendpage32.exe:
c:\PageGateData\BMC\sendpage32.exe <recipient> <sender> <message with BMC variables>
Example: c:\PageGateData\BMC\sendpage32.exe IT_Alerts BMC "Warning: <AlertName> on <ServerName>"
