Integration with Amtelco

PageGate integrates with Amtelco using the SNPP server (preferred) or GetMail. SNPP is more reliable and efficient.

Step 1 — Set Up the SNPP Server

  1. Create: c:\PageGateData\Amtelco\. Move snppserver.exe, pininfo.txt, and snpp.ini from the PageGate installation directory to this folder.
  2. Edit snpp.ini: set OutputFolder=c:\PageGateData\Amtelco\ and LogFolder=c:\PageGateData\Logs\. Save.
  3. Edit pininfo.txt to define valid PIN ranges. Example: "0001","9999","PG_Recipient" or use "*","*","PG_Recipient" for any ID.

Step 2 — Install the SNPP Server as a Windows Service

  1. Open Command Prompt. Change to the SNPP directory. Type: snppserver /install. Press Enter.
  2. In Windows Services, set PageGate SNPP Server to Automatic startup and start the service.

Step 3 — Configure GetAscii to Read SNPP Output

  1. Open PG Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetAscii — Settings. Set Polling Directory to c:\PageGateData\Amtelco\. Check Enabled. Click Apply.
  2. In Amtelco, configure the SNPP host address to the IP address or machine name of your PageGate Server.
If already using GetAscii, use the Advanced Polling Files section to add the SNPP folder as a secondary polling location with File(s) set to *.asc
