Integration with AlertUs

PageGate can be configured to receive input from AlertUs by use of the SNPP Server API. Here's how to configure PageGate's SNPP server module to receive SNPP traffic from AlertUs:

Step 1 — Set Up the SNPP Server

  1. Create: c:\PageGateData\SNPP\. Move snppserver.exe, pininfo.txt, snpp.ini from PageGate installation to this folder.
  2. Edit snpp.ini: set OutputFolder=c:\PageGateData\SNPP\ and LogFolder=c:\PageGateData\Logs\. Save.
  3. Edit pininfo.txt to define valid PIN ranges:
    "0000000001","9999999999","PG_Recipient"
  4. Install SNPP as Windows Service: snppserver /install → open Windows Services → set Startup Type to Automatic → Start Service.

Step 2 — Configure GetAscii to Read SNPP Output

  1. Open PG Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetAscii — Settings. Set Polling Directory to c:\PageGateData\SNPP\. Check Enabled. Click Apply.

The SNPP host address AlertUs will reference is the IP address or machine name of your PageGate server.
