NotePager Pro First Time Configuration Transcript for Video:
Welcome to the NotePager Pro first time configuration tutorial.

In this tutorial, we'll be going over the basic configuration of NotePager Pro, including a walkthrough of the configuration wizard. To begin, let's run the program.

You can run the program by accessing it from your start menu or double clicking on the shortcut on your desktop.

If this is the first time you run NotePager Pro, it will ask you if you would like to register or continue.

If you would like to register, please see our NotePager Pro Registration tutorial.

If you would like to use the trial version, left click on Continue.

If this is the first time you've run the program, you'll be prompted by the Setup Wizard.

For the purposes of this tutorial, left click on Yes. In the first step of the setup wizard, it will ask you what you would like to use for the sender's name.

This name is what will show up on the recipient's device as who sent the message and there are three available options.

If you don't want the program to send any sender's information, select the first option.

If you would like the program to use the username of whoever you're logged into windows as, select the second option.

If you want to specify a specific sender's name, left click on the third option, then left click in the space provided and type in what you want your sender's name to be.

Select your preferred option and click on Continue.

In the second step of the wizard, it will ask you where you would like the program to minimize to.

It can either minimize to the Task bar with the other programs or it can minimize next to the clock in the system tray.

Please select your preference and click on Continue. When you click on continue, a new portion of the setup wizard will open and ask if you want to run the Connection Wizard.

Click on Yes.

On the first step of the connection wizard, the program will ask you for your preferred method of message delivery.

If you intend to deliver your messages by phone line and modem, left click on Modem

. If you intend to deliver your messages by Internet, left click on Internet.

If you're unsure as to which to choose, please watch our Protocol Information Tutorial.

For the purposes of this tutorial, we'll do the Internet Connection Wizard, so left click on the Internet button.

Make sure you're connected to the Internet, then left click on Continue.

Left click on the Test button.

When the tests have completed, left click on Continue.

When you click on continue, a new portion of the setup wizard will open and ask if you want to run the Carrier Wizard.

Before proceeding, be sure you know the carrier of the devices you wish to send to.

Examples of carriers are American Messaging, Sprint, Nextel, and AT&T.

Click on Yes to start the Carrier Wizard.

In the space provided, enter the Carrier's Name.

In this tutorial, we'll be doing a generic Internet carrier.

Click on Continue.

In the protocol list, select the protocol that matches your carrier.

If you're unsure as to which to choose, please watch our Protocol Information Tutorial.

For the purposes of this example, we'll use the SNPP.

Click on Continue, then left click on Continue again.

In the SNPP Server, enter the host for the carrier.

In this example, we'll use snpp.carrier.com Click on Continue to proceed.

When you click on continue, a new portion of the setup wizard will open and ask if you want to run the Recipient Wizard.

In the space provided, enter the name for the recipient. You can name the recipient anything you please.

Enter a name, then left click on Continue.
