PageGate can be easily integrated with Siemens BACnet with our GetAscii module. Siemens' BACnet allows you to generate alarms and notifications when certain conditions are met. You'll need to create a directory for Siemens' BACnet to reference, then you'll need to configure BACnet to have file access to the directory. Once you do that, you'll want to configure BACnet's alarm notification system to output content to that directory when an alert needs to be generated.
Here's how to configure PageGate's GetAscii module to read the notifications from BACnet:
1) Open the PageGate Admin.
2) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings.
3) Set the "Polling Directory" to the integration directory you've created (see above).
Note: If you set the Polling Directory to a shared network (UNC) path, be sure to provide the PageGate GetAscii windows service with the appropriate logon credentials to access the network data.
4) Check Enabled.
5) Click on Apply.
5a) When prompted, you do want this enabled for all existing groups and recipients.
