I have several pagegate clients that will not retain the display and user settings (Workstation ID, %LoginName%, etc) when the program exits. The problem is only being seen on XP workstations. Does anybody have any ideas?

The PageGate client stores most of its settings in the Windows Registry. If the user doesn't have enough rights to the registry, then the values can't be updated.

On the client setup screen, you can also try the option to save the settings for the current user only. This will attempt to save the settings in the part of the registry set aside for the current user only.

Can somebody tell me what is the key in the registry to modify.
We have a lot of clients and it is really a problem if we cannot block some settings.

Thanks

PageGate Client Registry Key location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NotePage\NotePagerNet

I found that key,
But what rights to that key should I configure to make all users of the same Station (but with different login names) so that the settings remain after a restart.

Thanks,

By the way it's WinXP

You should log on to the computer using an "Administrative" account.

Open PageGate Client
Select 'File' - 'Setup'.
Make the desired settings changes.
Ensure that you select "Use these settings for all local users"
Select "Apply"
Restart PG Client.

When Client starts for local users, it will look to the "HKLM" registry location for the settings.
